You can't give what you don't have!
Today I am going to talk about something very personal and I am opening up just to help anyone who is going through the same thing as me or rather something that I went through and thanks to many emotional intelligence classes I no longer suffer.
Let's take a second to look at this tree and its surroundings. I want you to visualize all these torn branches and trunks on the ground as "words."
Now you might say, "Mitzy, what the hell are you talking about?" Let me explain. Words are so powerful that they can do good and get a thousand soldiers out of a battle to continue and they can also destroy someone's self-esteem to the point of suicide.
The reason I use this tree as an example is that trees have an amazing ability to recover from storm damage.
I have weathered so many storms in my life, but I am still here. Like a tree. Trees basically go through everything we as human beings go through, but if we look at them and learn to see and listen, we will learn a very valid lesson.
When looking at the life and damage of a tree. I will make the comparison to what a doctor would tell us. When a tree is no longer functional or there is rot in the inner core of the trunk or a structural weakness in the branching patterns that can cause a split trunk, the equivalent of this is known as the tree having a heart attack. The wounds are too large to heal and the tree has lost its vital lifeline between the roots and the leaves. This tree is almost dead.
On the 26th of this month my father would have been dead for 11 years. I lost my father many years ago and I know he would be very happy with my accomplishments. I can't say the same to some people around me. While being here in this world we live in I have come across a lot of emotional oppositions that even though I am a fighter those words really got to me at one point and sometimes I won't lie (the words sting a little but then I tell myself) "Mitzy people are so hurt and broken nowadays, you can't blame them because they can't give what they don't have and I just keep going."
Trees need nutrients, sunlight, water, air and space. The availability of some basic resources can be limited, so trees compete with each other to meet their needs.
WOW it's not that crazy, we also need nutrients, sunlight, water, air and space and the availability of some of our basic resources can also be limited, WE as HUMANS also compete with each other to get our needs met.
There is only one particular observation about us, human beings, and life. Life does not respond to need. You cannot go to the ground and say, “I need a harvest.” The earth will say, “Don’t bring me your seed, bring me some effort , bring me some discipline , bring me some input , bring me these things and I will multiply you many times over.”
You can't come NEEDY you have to come with seed, you have to come with skill, you have to be willing to learn, willing to change, willing to grow, willing to withstand bad weather, willing to pull out weeds, willing to nurture and grow. That's the only way to get a return.
I am lucky to have friends and sisters whom I
I can turn to you when the going gets tough...
REMEMBER
Don't let anyone dictate your future!
