Forgotten

While on the phone with an old friend of mine, I opened a box because I was getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's the time for winter cleaning and getting ready for a new year.


So when this time comes, I go through everything and throw away the things that are not useful and organize and file whatever needs to be kept.


While talking to my friend on the phone, I started reading and asking him what were some of the terminologies of these so-called hospitalizations that I had in my hand in these medical records.


Meanwhile, we talked; I paused and was shocked because those doctors were talking about things that weren't about me. I told my friend that this had to be wrong, so I kept looking and looking and reading, but the more I read, the more shocked I was, to the point that tears started rolling down my eyes.





I've said this before, but having COVID-19 and losing my memory is something I deal with every day of my life.


I am so lucky to be here on this earth. While there are so many who are no longer with us due to this pandemic, I feel blessed that you are still here!

When I saw those hospitalizations and diagnoses I couldn't continue reading.


I felt like they were talking about someone who just wasn't me. To be completely honest, it really hurt me, and then I realized...

Mitzy, you are losing your memory, and before everything is forgotten you have to write, which is what I do and why I write.

I'm not writing this out of pity or for anyone to feel sorry for me. I'm writing this so that everyone knows that no matter what you're going through right now, or what people may say to you or think of you, don't let anything or anyone get you down (don't let them), no matter what illnesses you have, don't give up, always keep going!

You need to have an ice cream and take a breath and tell yourself that everything will be okay; without envying anything that someone else has!


Live, laugh, do silly things, love unconditionally and do for
Others what you want people to do to you.
Love so that you can be loved, give without expecting anything
In return, learn to forgive and be thankful for the fact that your
live and don't complain just live your life with happiness...


Make your ice cream and treat your body to a relaxing moment when situations out of your control happen, meditate, do whatever makes you happy and don't complain, remember... to change your life you have to change your mind and the way you think!!! Be yourself and remember that you are identical unique and special, there is no identity for you in this world so what you make of it is your choice and your responsibility.
