I was in the car and suddenly it started pouring rain and I had to laugh because minutes before I had heard a motivational speech that talked about why people ran away from the rain instead of embracing it.
We all run, in one way or another. We run from the rain in the same way we run from pain and circumstances we don't want to face and situations that make us feel uncomfortable.
And sometimes; just sometimes; when we decide to stay and we make the decision to do so... we are told to leave because we are no good to those we stay with and like the rain even though it soaks our soul; the same way it soaks the earth on this earth we have to keep moving.
Sometimes life hits us with realities that we simply cannot understand or accept at the moment, but one of the things I love most about nature is its level of secrecy.
Although nature sees and hears everything, it still works in secret and although sometimes certain things happen to us, inexplicable things, the similarity with this earth is incredible;
It is our choice and responsibility to find our peace, to keep our job, our life and to walk and yes to look back, but not to live in our past even if that means leaving part of our heart behind.
We have to speak positively about ourselves, knowing that what is for us the earth, life, karma, God and everything we sow will come to us.
If we choose to sulk about what cannot be changed, we will hinder the opportunity life gives us every day to see the beauty and possibilities that await us.
Find your peace even if others don't understand it; it's not about them, it's about you.
Let us learn that even when we are drenched in tears, sorrows, difficulties because we see that we are not where we want to be; and we may not have the right mindset at that moment, do not let that thought meditate in your mind for too long.
Allow your inner strength to help you recover and take control and say "Today is a new day and life, earth, God, my religion, music, karma, destiny has brought me to where I am and yes...
I may not be what others want, and I may not answer everyone's questions about why . But I use my past to rebuild myself every day to be better; that's because I live for today. I live for the dream of what I'm good at, not based on speculation of what others might think or want.
I do what I can everyday to plant a seed towards a better me and in the meantime I have life I will make sure that day by day I fight for a better day; because you become free when you stop looking at your surroundings, when you sit down in the morning and take a few seconds for yourself and at the end of those seconds you are able to smile, when you enjoy your room, your bathroom, your car, your legs because they help you walk, your hands because they help you get dressed and do your daily chores, your eyes because they allow you to see everything around you, when you learn to love yourself, you will understand the true meaning of rain.
Just as rain and snow are key elements in the Earth's water cycle, so too is this process vital to all life on Earth. Rain is the primary way that water from the heavens descends to Earth, where it fills our lakes and rivers, recharges underground aquifers, and provides food for plants and animals. This is how we work as human beings too - we need to find what recharges us and purifies our souls so that we can do good for others.
